Beagle
These tough and bold dogs have friendly expressions, are compact and athletically built. They have a short coat that is thick and weather resistant and comes in a variety of colors and patterns (see breed standard for details). Height and weight are 33-40 cm about 10-11 kg.
Origin
Hounds were first divided into categories based on their intended use, such as chasers, trackers, etc., about the middle of the 16th century. The name "Begles," which is French for "open throat," was given to a little dog raised to hunt rabbits about this period. It was a reference to the animal's propensity to be boisterous, or to act like a pack member. The name in English is "Beagle." The Foxhound, Harrier, and a little bloodhound known as the "Kerry Beagle" are all responsible for the breed's creation.
Nature
Beagles are friendly and get along with most other dogs since they were designed to be a group animal. They adore kids, but in order to have positive connections with cats, they must be introduced to them as young children. Although the beagle makes a fantastic security dog, barking at anything odd, once a thief is inside, the beagle will probably choose to play with him instead.
Health
Beagles are typically a strong and healthy breed. But they can develop hip dysplasia, just like many breeds (a condition that can lead to mobility problems). Therefore, scoring hips prior to mating is crucial. This breed is also more prone to epilepsy and a particular kind of meningitis called "Beagle pain syndrome."
Training
Beagles require extensive training, at least two hours every day. He should not be let off the leash unless he is very well taught to come when called because of his intense hunting drive. Allowing your dog to use his natural sense of scent is one method to keep him in shape. Some owners also enjoy training their Beagles for field trials, which are competitions for hunting dogs that measure their degree of ability and aptitude for locating or exhibiting.

Nutrition
Small dogs must eat little but frequently because they have rapid metabolisms that cause them to expend energy quickly despite having small stomachs. Small breed food is carefully formulated for smaller mouths, with smaller kibble sizes and sufficient quantities of vital nutrients. Additionally, this promotes chewing and enhances digestion.
Treatment / Grooming
The only maintenance required for this breed is a simple brushing once a week to get rid of dead and loose hair. The only issue is that beagles enjoy rolling in unpleasant substances (to hide theirs). They are fortunately simple to bathe. To make sure their ears are healthy and clear of infections, you should examine them frequently.
